SeifOsman
Computer Science graduate & retail store technology specialist with 5+ years supporting POS/register systems, Cisco networks & connectivity across a 900+ store environment. On personal time I ship 0→1 products, internal AI tooling & security tools.
Store technology by day. Builder & security learner by night.
I'm a Computer Science graduate (CSI / CUNY) and a retail store technology specialist with 5+ years at Rainbow Apparel — building, deploying, and personalizing POS systems, Cisco store networks, Inseego connectivity, and peripherals across a 900+ store environment, and training 10+ new IT technicians.
Outside the day job I ship 0→1 products, internal AI tooling, and security-focused tools like Asset Vault (1,000+ devices) and Packet Analyzer. Cybersecurity is a separate, self-driven track.
900 stores, one network
The footprint I keep online every day — registers, Cisco networks, connectivity and peripherals across a nationwide retail fleet. Hover a node to inspect a store.
What I do
Store Tech & POS
Registers, Cisco store networks, Inseego connectivity, phones, scanners, receipt printers & store servers — built, personalized, and supported across 900+ stores.
Products, AI & Security
Full-stack apps, local-first AI tools & security projects — product sense, backend/frontend range, automation, and a self-driven cybersecurity track.
Ring me up
I deploy point-of-sale for a living — so here's one. Add a few services, hit checkout, and the register prints your quote.
Why work with me
Ships to production
My work runs in the real world — Asset Vault is used inside the company every day, not just sitting on GitHub.
Trains & leads
Onboarded 10+ IT technicians into the role. I document, mentor, and level up the people around me.
Security-minded
A self-driven cybersecurity track means I think about failure modes and attack surface, not just features.
Bilingual
Fluent in English & Arabic — comfortable supporting and communicating across teams and regions.
Career & milestones
IT Technician Specialist — Rainbow Apparel
Build, deploy & support POS, Cisco networks, Inseego & peripherals across 900+ stores. Built ~200 stores A→Z; trained 10+ IT techs.
Inventory & Systems Analyst — Pickle Works
Secured warehouse inventory in Oracle NetSuite with role-based access, barcode workflows & data-integrity safeguards.
Cybersecurity Track
Packet analysis, Wireshark/tcpdump, vulnerability checks & tools like Packet Analyzer — a self-driven track, separate from the day job.
B.S. Computer Science — CSI / CUNY
Computer Science degree from the City University of New York.
Flagship — Asset Vault
One source of truth for 1,000+ company devices
The problem. Technology assets — registers, switches, connectivity, peripherals — were spread across a 900+ store footprint with no central inventory or ownership trail.
What I built. A full-stack asset & device management platform: role-based access, live device tracking, and operational visibility from one dashboard.
The result. Adopted internally — 3 admins now manage 1,000+ devices with clear accountability instead of scattered spreadsheets.

From idea to shipped
Understand
Get the real constraints first — users, hardware, edge cases. In retail that means it has to work when the store opens, not just in a demo.
Build
Ship a working slice fast, then harden it — clean APIs, role-based access, tests, and docs so the next person can run it too.
Support
Deploy, train the people who use it, watch how it behaves in the wild, and iterate. Real adoption is the only success metric.
